Guild is hiring an Experience Designer. This role focuses on crafting our product experience, used by millions of Americans to head back to school. You’ll create designs that facilitate a streamlined experience for our users that help them apply and go back to school. You’ll be great for this role if you have a passion for solving complex problems with creativity and strive to put our users first. As Experience Designer, you will:
- Creatively problem-solve using design, UX and accessibility best practices
- Create deliverables such as wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity design using our design system, documented user research synthesis, user flows and journey maps
- Use data to inform design decisions and continually validate your work with real users
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure collaboration and great handoffs of design work
- Collaborate with product managers to build highly impactful products that enable students to go to school affordably
- Bring ideas and contribute to the design process with other designers, UX writers and researchers, product managers, and engineers
- Support design thinking activities cross-functionally to absorb knowledge and needed information from stakeholders
- Communicate, participate, and prepare for design walkthroughs, critiques, and reviews
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing needs
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps through customer research and design explorations

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
Required Competencies
- 3+ years of experience in an individual contributor design or UX role
- Worked on product design from the discovery phase through launch
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with an entrepreneurial ownership mentality
- Care deeply about technical, scalable, and user-centric models of design
Preferred Competencies
- Experience in Sketch and Invision
- Experience partnering with product managers and other business owners
