Guild is hiring an Experience Designer to help craft our product experience, used by millions of Americans to head back to school. You’ll approach design as an experiment to learn as quickly as possible and will work on meaningful products that facilitate an effortless experience for our users. You’ll be great for this role if you have a passion for seamless experiences that span a multi-faceted business with diverse user journeys and needs.

As an Experience Designer, you will:

  • Design prototypes, user test, iterate, and work with the greater team to deploy simple, elegant, and purposeful experiences
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure execution is what is imagined and expected
  • Create data informed designs using our suite of user research tools and analytics
  • Bring ideas, collaborate, and contribute to high-level strategic decisions with other designers, product managers, and engineers
  • Work within and expand our evolving design language system that exports to over 5+ products that touches millions of student lives and Fortune 50 enterprise partners
  • Support design thinking activities cross-functionally to absorb knowledge and needed information from stakeholders
  • Communicate, participate, and prepare for design walkthroughs, critiques, and reviews
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity changing needs
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps through customer research and design explorations
  • Bring your full self to our growing team and add to our culture and values

In addition to working on Experience Design, in this role you will collaborate with other Guild leaders including: Jess Rusin (SVP Engineering), Josh Scott (President), Dan Fineman (Senior Director, Product), Chandler Koglmeier (VP, Product and GM, Marketplace Expansion).

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in an individual contributor design role on a design team for web or native applications
  • Worked on product design end-to-end for products 
  • Case studies featuring examples of design work and product impact
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with an entrepreneurial ownership mentality
  • Care deeply about technical, scalable, and user-centric models of design
  • Experience partnering with product managers
  • Bonus: Experience designing both consumer and enterprise applications
