Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The IT Experience Design team supporting Sling TV is seeking an enthusiastic visual designer to create beautiful user interfaces that are fun and easy to use. In this position, you will work with a product team to create alignment around user needs and how to appropriately solve them using efficient and consistent design patterns.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Develops and internally presents hypotheses based on user feedback, Synthesizes data, recommends action.
  • Uses rapid prototyping tools to simulate proposed designs in order to better judge their user experience, validates design with surveys and questionnaires. Records research observations.
  • Observes and improves existing interactions. Ensures consistency and high quality. Anticipates user paths and creates the most logical flow. Explains each design iteration, findings, and recommendations.
  • Identifies a target audience. Schedules, and recruits participants, conducts interviews, deploys surveys. Minimizes bias, ensures research results are highly useful. Discovers unidentified, unmet or undermet needs. Builds consensus and obtains approval to move projects forward.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

Qualifications

A successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years designing digital experiences with creative software (Sketch, InVision, XD, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Familiarity with accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Portfolio of work showing a thoughtful approach to digital design for websites and/or web apps.

Location

We have 2 headquarters in the Greater Denver area - you won't have to travel far! Business teams sit just south of DTC, while our IT team is downtown.
