Havenly is interior design for real people. We're a funded tech startup in Denver, and we believe everyone deserves a beautiful home they love. We’re looking for a Creative Director to join our team and drive the UX strategy, interaction design, and visual design of our core tech products. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of design thinking, a background in user research, and is fluent in creating intuitive and delightful user experiences across desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps, and beyond. We’re looking for a design leader, innovative problem solver, and strong collaborator who does his or her best work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Champion a set of user experience and product design principles that ultimately drive decisions about the Havenly product experience
• Ensure those principles consistently carry across platforms (desktop web; mobile web; and mobile app) and user types (design client; interior designer; ecommerce)
• Design beautiful - and usable - product features
• Demonstrate high quality design practices - this includes participation in all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, information architecture, and visual execution
• Work cross-functionally across design, product, engineering, growth, and executives
• Brainstorm and ideate around new concepts and features
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features or experiences
• Manage a team of UX / UI and visual designers
• Exhibit empathy, enthusiasm, and motivation in every interaction

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years of experience in a UI or UX capacity working on mobile and desktop products, with strong emphasis on the consumer space
• 2+ years experience growing and leading design teams
• In-house design experience, with a proven track record of collaborating with product and engineering teams to ship amazing products quickly
• Passion for creating simple - and beautiful - products that people use every day
• Strong portfolio with well-articulated examples of visual and interaction design
• Experience with agile development process, usability research, and testing
• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
• Proficient in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools
• Basic HTML/CSS and Javascript knowledge
