Art Director/Designer
Become the creative champion for our customers
We are seeking an experienced Art Director to support our team, help guide client creative vision, to design impactful online experiences, integrated campaigns, and collateral. The Art Director creates innovative solutions for a full range of digital projects and marketing programs with an emphasis on improving the buying experience for the end customer. You’ll work closely with our account executives and client teams to concept, plan, and create inspiring marketing materials that engage clients’ audiences.

You concept, design, and execute brilliantly crafted work — and you're the catalyst for brilliantly thoughtful campaigns. You communicate and coordinate effectively with our cross-functional agency team including marketing strategists, copywriters, designers, and technologists. You understand the use of modern marketing techniques; know how to apply the latest design trends to help us deliver effective messages through brand storytelling; and can produce materials for digital, video, and traditional programs. It’s also important that you value customer research, incorporate sales team insights, are sensitive to buyer needs and pains, and can creatively leverage background knowledge about the buyer’s purchase journey — all to deliver effective creative solutions at each stage of the funnel.
A typical day in the life:
Leadership, development, and planning
- Provide creative team leadership through both hands-on design expertise and direction to internal and external designers.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of strategists, content and user-experience creators, developers, and marketing technology specialists to improve the quality of our work and ensure that creative goals are met.
- Shape concepts and see them through to detailed design and implementation across multiple channels.
- Provide project status, liaising with designers, development teams, and contractors to provide accurate updates.
Design and delivery
- Craft work of exceptional quality across a variety of disciplines including web, display, branding, email marketing, iconography, infographics, and print.
- Create effective designs and campaigns that reflect our clients’ brands and achieve stated goals.
- Keep up with best practices in design trends, web usability, web design, and business/marketing industry trends.
- Assume primary leadership of art direction including the selection of imagery, graphics and icons, and video.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client specifications

Requirements & Responsibilities
- A minimum of 5 years of professional design experience (agency background is preferred)
- Creative and persistent problem solver
- Ability to design creative marketing and integrated business solutions for us and our clients
- Demonstrated conceptual skills to help us craft compelling value-driven stories for us and our clients
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and present to client and internal teams
- A self-motivated, curious, and innovative spirit
- Expert-level design fundamentals around color, typography, layout, etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor's Degree in art, design, or related field of study
