Our creative team is looking for a full-time art director/interactive strategist who thinks big, drives strategy and creates cutting-edge work. He/she will provide a unique perspective, push digital boundaries and direct creative that grabs attention and compels action. Responsibilities
- Conceive and execute brand applications in both digital and traditional channels
- Integrate brand thinking throughout execution and drive clear alignment with program strategies
- Help define vision, direction and goals for the project from both marketing strategy and art direction perspectives
- Develop concepts and creative executions that connect human emotion to business value
- Lead strategic direction of client initiatives through the research and development phases
- Establish a clear understanding of the end user or target audience needs
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external teams with finesse
- Consistently deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced agency environment
- Take initiative and provide ownership over the work and its results
- Serve as a key contributor to account planning
Skills and Knowledge
- Shows expertise in web design and the creative process
- Works across numerous verticals and project types with ease
- Exhibits mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Is an expert at communicating through sketching, storyboards, mood boards and high-level visual concepts and themes
- Collaborates with designers, writers, etc. from inception through execution, with great skill
- Demonstrates a developed visual vocabulary (layout, typography, design)
- Identifies illustration and photographic styles best suited to the brand/project and communicates choices in a compelling way
- Understands principles of information architecture and effectively translates wireframes into designs
- Familiar with HTML, CSS and XML and their constraints
- Experience directing photo and video shoots
- Serves as design and technology bridge, communicating well with front-end and back-end developers
- Demonstrates a keen interest in new technologies and conceives ways to incorporate them into projects
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- 8+ years agency experience with a digital design focus
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with clients that work in long sales cycle and group decision buying scenarios
- Ability to bring strategic concepts to life through execution of interactive experiences
- Familiar with HTML and the constraints involved in producing experiences for the web and other interactive media
- Motion graphics experience is a plus
