Role Purpose

Bluprint is looking for an Art Director to lead the Product arm of our Creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Creative Director and design team to craft elegant digital materials in service of Bluprint’s brand mission, vision and values.

  • Function as the Bluprint brand ambassador to the Product and UX team and successfully create a dynamic and cohesive online brand experience across platforms and media.

  • Work closely with the UX team to create and implement a successful UX/UI design process.

  • Help influence and co-lead the UX/UI Design System creation and execution with UX leadership.

  • Collaborate with the UX team to design and build high fidelity interactive prototypes to present to stakeholders and use in usability testing.

  • Support the visual design needs of the Bluprint app.

  • Facilitate brand consistency across marketing email creation by building and maintaining an email design system library of Sketch-based files.

  • Brainstorm, influence and manage creative projects through execution.

  • Lead, work alongside, and delegate tasks to other members in the design team, sister divisions within Bluprint, and external partner agencies.

  • Attend meetings both internally and offsite.

Basic Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, a related field, and/or equivalent training or work experience.
• Experience with Branding, an iterative Human Centered Design process/Design Thinking, Design System creation/maintenance, basic UX principles, basic HTML/CSS, Responsive Design, App design, and working with developers.
• 6+ years experience in a design related field.
• Proficiency in Sketch, Invision, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with JIRA/Confluence, After Effects, Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote a plus.
• A dynamic portfolio featuring several contemporary, beautifully designed digital projects, with an emphasis on human centered design and UI/UX best practices. Must also demonstrate a strong understanding and creative approach to typography, editorial photography/layout, and brand identity.

• A collaborative mindset and desire to work cross functionally to brainstorm, problem solve and create exceptional brand experiences.
• Experience in a self-starting, leadership role on multiple projects with an emphasis on maintaining the highest of standards across brand touchpoints and responsive design systems.
• Great written, verbal, and people skills. Diplomatic, strategic, and persuasive key stakeholder management skills a must.
• An affinity for media, craft, and personal hobbies and projects.
• A wholehearted openness to feedback and direction.
• Good relationships with and experience managing outside vendors a plus.
