Delivery Manager Job Description

At Cloud Elements our customers experience and making them successful is one of our most important tasks. Given that our customers pay us over time customer satisfaction, retention and growth are keys to our longevity.  In this role you will be a major contributor in ensuring our customers are quick to find value in our products.

As a member of the Customer Success Team, you play an important role will developing strong relationships with our customers, gaining a deep understanding of their objectives, create solutions and be a critical partner in delivering those solutions through the Cloud Elements platform.

What you will do:

  • Obtain an technical understanding of our products and services

  • Lead the technical and business resources of your projects ensuring the effective delivery of assigned customer engagements. This includes coordinating the work of Delivery Engineers, QA and Training resources.

  • Fully understand customer uses cases while creating technical statements of work.

  • Develop clear success plans that outline timelines, critical success factors, potential issues, and provide best practice recommendations

  • Closely track and report out based on agreed upon timelines that timelines and manage expectations as things change during the project period.

  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering in prioritizing the technical work required.

  • Responsible for accounting for the project hours of the team to finance.

  • Facilitates the product demos and training as needed to ensure customers understand the value of the Cloud Elements products, can use them and have the documentation needed to be successful

  • Continually improve internal process to ensure smooth communications and handoff transitions between teams

  • You will be measured using a combination of Customer Satisfaction and Product Adoption performance indicators.

What we would like you to have:

  • BS/MS in Business Administration or an Engineering related field

  • At least 6 years of project management (or related) experience in the software development space

  • Consulting or services industry experience desired, with a strong preference for someone who has operated in a fast growing environment and created success even with lean resources

  • Experience with iterative development methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM

  • You take charge in stressful situations and help guide others

  • Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale projects through the software development life cycle

  • Awareness of continuous improvement and change management techniques

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors.

  • Understanding of the SaaS market and standards around APIs, including cloud services vendors in the CRM, Documents, Help Desk, Payments, Finance, Marketing Automation, and Messaging Markets, providers and advisors would be beneficial.

  • Ability to travel as needed
