 Help shape and execute our vision of Zoom Phone to deliver the most delightful and empowering communications experience to our users. As a Data Product Architect you will work closely with product managers to understand product vision and business needs, define technical requirements and guide architectural solutions of data architecture, deliver analytics to help customers (both internal & external) gain insights, and make data driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deep collaboration with product management to develop a data strategy that defines the capabilities for data ingestion, classification, transformation, storage, and processing.

  • Align enterprise data architecture with business objectives and product strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads (e.g. DevOps, Big Data, & Data Scientist, etc.) to effectively drive technical requirements, architectural and design principles to improve data performance, reliability and security.

  • Actively evaluate competitive products and new ETL tools. Understand industry trends and evolutions.

  • Be the leading expert on data & analytics. Collaborate, educate, and mentor architects and technical leaders on modern data architecture practices. Guide architecture design and solve complex technical challenges as a hands-on leader.

  • Communicate effectively to business and technical partners across senior levels of the organization.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Science (e.g. CS, Data Science, etc.)

  • 8+ years experience in design, implementation and management of data, leveraging data pipeline orchestration tools, optimizing file storage and partitioning, and managing a scalable schema registry to support customer facing features.

  • 3+ years SaaS experience in architecting scalable cloud centric data solutions. 

  • Deep knowledge of data feature engineering, data mining, machine learning, or information retrieval.

  • Domain knowledge of modern data science and data engineering orientated data pipeline management platforms, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, EMR and CDH. Experience with Druid and/or Clickhouse is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of ETL with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks.

  • Self-starter with drive and demonstrated ability to execute and deliver in an innovative and fast paced environment is a must. Drive decisions with focus and clarity.

  • Passionate about continuous learning, growing, succeeding, and helping out the team and solve complex issues together.
