The Tech Transfer Scientist will work as part of the Technical Operations team to perform technical transfer of Oncology products and processes in Boulder, CO. This highly collaborative position will work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, Quality Control/Assurance to develop and understand IVD, IUO and RUO processes to achieve product realization in an efficient and compliant manner.

What you’ll do:

  • Use technical knowledge to support and/or lead upstream development activities in collaboration with R&D/IVD Assay Development
  • Understand the scientific principles required for manufacturing products, including the interaction of the chemistry, equipment, aseptic processes, and ISO systems
  • Design and implement feasibility studies for process characterization
  • Independently analyze and present detailed technical data, results and recommendations to cross functional teams
  • Apply technical expertise to plan and perform activities needed to manufacture engineering builds and pilot builds and/or support scale-up/automation of assay components
  • Provide domain expert feedback to creation of documents and processes during process development
  • Prepare, review, revise, approve, or provide technical support for preparation of relevant technical documents as required, such as: manufacturing procedures, test methods, work instructions, travelers (batch records), process flow documents, regulatory submissions, validations, etc.
  • Collaborate with Project Management Office to plan, track and drive projects to completion
  • Collaborate with various functional groups such as Quality Assurance, QC, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning/Logistics and Engineering to assist in Technical Transfer of processes and test methods
  • Participate in development and implementation of process improvements including capital expansions and technical projects
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or related field
  • B.S. with 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience, or M.S. with 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience; industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of mainstream molecular biology processes such as Illumina next-generation sequencing methods, nucleic acid purification and quantitation, PCR/qPCR, library preparation, DNA cloning
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: technical transfer, process development, manufacturing operations, process-directed documentation
  • Knowledge of cGMP/CFR/FDA/CLIA regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical communicator (both verbal and written)

Preferred skills:

  • Previous experience working with large sophisticated data sets (python, R, or other)
  • Domain Expertise in Oncology/Cancer Biology

In Colorado, our competitive compensation package includes a base salary starting from $97,680.00. In determining the final salary offered, we will evaluate a specific candidate's geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
