Markit Digital, an IHS Markit company, is hiring a Strategic Planning & Operations Analyst. This is a unique and exciting position located in our Boulder, CO office. You will partner closely with the leadership team for the Markit Digital business line to provide insights on the market opportunity, competitive landscape and our positioning.
What you'll do at Markit Digital
As the Strategic Planning & Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding Markit Digital’s positioning within a rapidly changing market. These insights will be shared with the Markit Digital leadership team and distilled into a strategic plan that positions Markit Digital by vertical segment and geographic market. The strategic plan will be for both internal and external audiences.
Core responsibilities
- Establish current positioning by vertical segment and geography, including addressable market, current market share, competitive positioning and growth opportunities
- Formulate a strategic plan for each vertical segment and geography and work cross-functionally to implement
- Coordinate new business solutioning process, including creating win/loss analysis by capability to understand demand and inform product roadmap
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and commercial productization; work closely with product management team to bring commercial products and capabilities to market
- Monitor industry trends and share with sales, product and client success teams
- Prepare executive presentations on market position and strategy
- Create an inventory of all marketing materials and identify gap between current and desired states, with plan to close the gap, per vertical segment and geography
- Conduct market analysis for new product, vertical segment and geographic opportunities
- Create an internal marketing strategy to increase awareness of our market, client segments and competitive landscape
- Understand client behavior and key motivations
Job qualifications include:
- Expertise in analyzing strategic business opportunities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; experience presenting to senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- 5+ years’ work experience
- Strong time management, organizational and decision-making skills
- Independently motivated
