Paladina Health is looking for an experienced Sr, SQL Developer to join their Information technology team! Paladina Health differentiates itself from the competitors with its innovative use of data and analytics. The Sr. SQL Developer is responsible for development and maintenance of the database systems, ETL processes and database programs.

This is a full-time position, based in the Paladina Health office in Denver, CO. The Sr. SQL Developer will report to the Manager of Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and code new interfaces which will map data and propagate the data into standard production tables.
  • Enhance, troubleshot and fix issues that arise with existing interfaces.
  • Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the database systems and programs.
  • Develop necessary database code to support interface development, including installation/migration programs, stored procedures, triggers, reports, and views.
  • Work with operational support teams and other IT team members to understand data transformation and business logic requirements.
  • Migrate data by writing data extract, transforming, and loading routines for both loading new data as well as performing migration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

Required Skills

• Proficient in MS SQL and SSIS

• Well organized, with a strong desire to document accurately
• High-energy, self-motivated, creative SQL developer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Computer Information systems, or work equivalent.
  • 5+ years of MS SQL and SSIS
  • 5+ years database program design and development.
  • 3+ years of healthcare managed care experience
  • Advanced SQL Server with demonstrated capability using PL/SQL.
  • Data warehouse expertise
  • Extensive experience working with Healthcare Provider and Managed care data from a data analysis, modeling and interface development perspective, with a solid understanding of the relevant Healthcare business processes.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
