Overview:

The Sr. Director, Analytics Evangelism will focus on defining, building and driving thought leadership and evangelism by building shared value around broad communities of analytic hobbyists, analysts, citizen data scientists, business leaders looking to build and support an analytics team and / or analytic culture and data scientists to increase affinity, mindshare, and engagement.

Irvine, CA or Broomfield, CO
Responsibilities:
* Define, lead and implement the strategy, operations, measurement, and success of global thought leadership programs, both online and offline, globally
* Lead cross functional teams focused on the components to drive awareness of data science with a data analytics culture, cultivate and elevate influencers, and position Alteryx as a thought leader
* Educate and enable teams across the organization to envision, develop, and deliver value in the form of thought leadership to non-customers, prospects, customers, partners, and associates
* Communicate the challenges and solutions to mass education of and adoption of analytic capabilities in consumer and business applications globally
* As a global program, define and implement the cultural similarities and differences for global engagement
* Build a content generation machine across all forms of media and events: podcasts, newsletters, blogs, video, social media, conferences, university relations programs, and charitable events
* Instill the discipline and competency of "thought leadership" in the organization
* Champion cultures of analytics and provide executive visibility around key metrics
* Serve as a public face of the company to drive engagement and connection with thought leadership content and brands
Qualifications:
* 15+ years of experience building and managing customer-facing initiatives to enable growth, adoption, expansion, and use
* 10+ years working across this growing analytics landscape as a leader or a user who understands the journey of an analytics professional
* Proven track record for driving significant change/business transformation
* Demonstrated success leading teams while showing how you do it and managing complex cross-functional projects
* Strong track record of recruiting, developing, and managing high performing teams
* Very high attention to detail and and strong commitment to quality
* Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions
* Excellent collaboration and cross-functional organizational skills
* Bachelor's degree in technology, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience
