Objective of the Role:
In this role, reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will architect customer data platforms, connecting and organizing various client's data sources using a coherent, manageable and maintainable cloud-based architecture that will allow Cloud Engineers and Data Scientists alike to provide straightforward solutions to business problems.
Primary responsibilities:

  • Help shape the future of our Cloud marketing solutions practice through innovation and architecting intellectual property
  • Gather and turn client business requirements into actionable data models for customer data platform/data lake builds supporting downstream marketing data solutions/products
  • Consult internal and external technical teams in cloud system architecture, data model design, and enterprise application integration
  • Work closely with the services engagement project manager and technical team to quickly develop solutions in an agile environment
  • Design/architect enterprise scale systems incorporating a variety of data sources and technical components
  • Participate in proof-of-concept exercises and development of prototypes
  • Advise clients on GCP optimized architectures for data management
  • Assist in developing roadmaps for on-prem to Cloud migration efforts
  • Be a trusted GCP advisor to the client
  • Leading the content development of technical components of client proposals, including enterprise RFPs
  • Interact with client senior management on technical matters in a language they can understand
  • Participate in developing new service capabilities and productizing solution offerings


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical data solutions architecture involving a mix of CRM, marketing, operations, and finance data sources
  • 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting solutions on cloud systems such as Azure, Google Cloud or AWS (GCP experience preferable)
  • Extensive experience with SQL, ETL, ELT and data transformation techniques and patterns
  • Working experience with OLAP, Dimensional Modeling, Transactional data, normalisation
  • Familiarity with bash scripting, workflow automation, Python (preferred) or Java
  • Experience with cloud-based or distributed storages (Google, Azure, Amazon RedShift, S3, Snowflake, etc.) is an additional bonus, as well as Data Vault modelling, DBA experience
  • Experience developing architecture and data flow diagrams using graphing programs (e.g. Visio)
  • Experience in architecting and designing solutions leveraging services like Cloud Big Query, Cloud Data Flow, Cloud Pub OR Sub, Cloud BigTable or AWS/Azure equivalents
  • Basics of Security and Identity and Access Management)
  • Knowledge of Stackdriver (Monitoring, Logging, Debugging and Tracing)
  • Cloud computing concepts like Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), DNS, CDN, Load Balancing and Auto Scaling.
  • Awareness of billing and cost optimization on GCP
  • Mature commercial mindset with bias towards action
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect certification (or ability to study for and pass exam within first 6-weeks of employment)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace, high-change environment
  • A flexible mindset that is energized, not frustrated, by the messiness common to rapidly growing organizations.

In Colorado, the salary range for this position is $130k plus a bonus potential and is based on prior experience and qualifications. The salary range outside of Colorado may be adjusted to reflect local market conditions.
