WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to increase efficiency and housing of data as Maxwell scales
  • Build, maintain, de-bug, and improve ETL/ELT pipelines to prepare data for analytics and valuable insights
  • Design data models to build or scale a data warehouse and/or data lake
  • Assemble large, complex sets of data from multiple data sources
  • Identify, design, and implement processes to redesign infrastructure for greater scalability, optimized data delivery, and automated manual processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increase data accessibility, and foster data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality and ensure production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it
  • Write, review, update engineering design documents and wiki
  • Perform analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • Extensive experience within Data Engineering or Data Science, preferably at a SaaS organization
  • Strong proficiency in Python or Java and SQL
  • Extensive background in data warehousing concepts and working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (Redshift, RDS, EMR and EC2), highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of the following tools/software/systems: Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, Postgres, Airflow, Luigi, Azkaban, Spark-Streaming, and/or Storm
  • Experience with designing data models, building data warehouses and data lakes, and implementing automated data pipelines while working with massive datasets
  • We follow Agile Software Development methodologies so knowledge or excitement to learn these would be beneficial

Compensation Range: $130,000-$160,000
