about the senior data analyst role:

the senior data analyst at soona will work closely with the leadership team to coalesce, analyze and report our data to our team. the data analyst will be responsible for developing the dashboards for communicating KPIs to all levels of the organization. they will also surface new and dynamic findings that will further maximize our ability to generate revenue and improve customer value.

this is a full-time position located in denver or minneapolis. the role will report directly to our director of finance, Jess Lane.

Requirements

an ideal candidate:

• passionate about joining a top-tier early stage startup
• technical mentorship: demonstrated experience with reviewing code and providing feedback
• data management: comfortable with the process of importing, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis in a reproducible way
• create best practices for data mining and visualization
• can thrive through uncertainty and rapid iteration
• bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training

has experience in:

• 5+ years of analytics or data science experience in a product development environment
• designing scalable systems and processes
• implementation of visualization tools such as tableau or lookr
• writing and validating complex SQL queries
• building BI solutions
• collaborating with dev teams on technical updates
• maintaining quality while supporting rapid growth
• e-commerce background a plus
• startup experience is preferred
