Senior Consumer Insights Researcher
Ibotta is looking for a Senior Consumer Insights Researcher to help provide actionable and meaningful data-driven insights that represent the voice of shopper in our brand, marketing, and product strategy. You will collaborate with marketing, analytics, and product teams to provide holistic shopper feedback on all aspects of Ibotta’s brand and consumer touchpoints. We are looking for a researcher experienced in applying multiple qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to truly understand the Ibotta shopper.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be the in-house expert on the Ibotta’s shopper - leverage research to create a thorough understanding of who an Ibotta shopper is, what they like, how they spend their time and what content they’re interested in
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to deliver actionable business and content recommendations back to the marketing and product teams
- Gather and scope requests from across the organization, translate questions into specific hypotheses for testing and identify best research approach
- Marry existing data (in-house/purchased/contracted) with primary quantitative/qualitative research programs to drive actionable insights
- Oversee all primary research design and execution, including methodology, survey construction, sampling, programming, data tabulation, weighting and analysis
- Follow industry trends, including competitive trends; research and disseminate key learnings to the broader organization
What we’re looking for:
- +5 years hands-on experience in insights and market research, including planning, analysis, integration and summarizing data and insights across a variety of insights tools that enable understanding the shopper (quantitative, qualitative, ethnographic, user experience research, etc.)
- Confidence in performing exploratory data analysis independently and distilling to key insights and recommendations
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with emphasis on drawing inferences with data and strength in representing data in powerful ways
- Ability to learn and quickly apply new tools and techniques with business curiosity to understand how and where our insights can impact the business
- Aptitude to effectively manage multiple projects supporting multiple internal stakeholders with strong communication and presentation skills
- Programming experience in Qualtrics, Usertesting.com, and other insights tools. Ability to program in a common data mining language such as SQL a plus
