About the Role
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst plays a key role in helping our revenue cycle management operations teams review and evaluate performance within our Eligibility and Claims Management spaces. Through data analysis they will be responsible for deriving insights and making recommendations for process/policy improvements, training, product enhancements, automation, etc. Through these initiatives, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will help drive continuous improvement and create world class customer experiences.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collect, organize, analyze data from various sources including SQL Server, Tableau, Google Sheets
  • Analyze data and convert it to actionable insights through creation and implementation of innovative, flexible and informative reports to drive growth, margin improvement, and strategic business management.
  • Identify productivity, quality, or strategic opportunities by aggregating and analyzing data sets for patterns, relationships, trends and important findings or business outcomes. Communicate findings to key staff and leadership by means of informative, actionable reports. These reports will support key decisions and strategic processes.
  • Executes data quality and validation processes. Advises management on the consistency, reliability and validity of data.
  • Evaluate accuracy of insurance estimates and identify opportunities for automation as well as the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Evaluate effectiveness of insurance claims processes and identify opportunities to streamline / automate
  • Participate in operation group meetings and advise on product / process improvement priorities
  • Support real time requests as needed to help review and respond to customer requests
  • Create ad-hoc reports to assist with root cause analysis


Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ Years of experience with business intelligence & analytics in an operations environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Research or similar area preferred
  • 2 + years' work experience with MS SQL Server required, must understand relational databases, be able to write queries, pull large data sets from MS SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of statistical analysis, data trending, data forecasting, development of business intelligence reporting;
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is plus;
  • Proficient level of analytic skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of the insurance industry and advanced data mining tools strongly preferred;
  • Understand the business functions and needs for information. Understand the impact of results on all affected stakeholders. Independent learner who can acquire the necessary business knowledge to complete the work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem identification/solving skills. Ability to take initiative, embrace challenges and develop creative solutions. Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with reports and questions related to reporting.
  • Strong sense of priorities and objectives; ability to anticipate needs, recommend options, and implement. Ability to juggle multiple assignments, manage time efficiently, and with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to communicate complex results to less quantitatively sophisticated users
  • Intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, hard-working and a good business intuition are must-haves!

Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000/annually
