About the team
Securities, Derivatives and Tax (SDT) is a $500m revenue business, providing sell side firms a complete set of technology solutions and services to support securities, derivatives and tax processing. Our solutions span the full trade lifecycle from exchange connectivity and new account onboarding, through to clearing, settlement, regulatory reporting and tax processing. The Business Operations Team plays an integral in role in setting and executing SDT business strategy, providing business intelligence, and driving cross functional projects.
What you will be doing
This role sits within the RISC & Audit Management team within SDT Business Management, reporting to the SDT RISC liaison. The RISC liaison is a first line of defense operations function and risk champion, focused on implementing RISC programs, policies and remediation. In this role, you will:
• Project manage internal and external operational, IT and regulatory audit projects
• Obtain and review audit evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
• Support business in risk documentation and remediation
• Support special risk investigations
• Develop and foster professional relationships with internal, external auditor and FIS client stakeholders
• Establish trust and credibility with key stakeholders
• Contribute to a high-performance environment
What you bring:
• A keen interest in financial services and technology
• A proactive individual who can manage their own time & workload, and actively takes initiative to complete projects and drive ideas
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and strategic skills
• Strong research skills
• Good planning and problem-solving abilities
• IT Competence and computer literacy.
• Ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 1-3 years of prior professional experience
All candidates must be confident, enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and good oral and written communication skills. Candidates must, above all, be passionate about risk mitigation and looking to build a career in the risk management/audit fields for the long term.
