Rate Testing Analyst
Your Mission
Help us establish Pie as the preeminent commercial insurer among small business owners. Working with the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for helping Pie build out our operations and expand to all states. You’ll be joining Pie at an exciting time as we were recently named to Denver Inno’s 50 on Fire.
How You’ll Do It
As Pie’s Rate Testing Analyst, you will help our operations/regulatory compliance teams reach our aggressive growth goals. Working at Pie Insurance will require that you adapt your skills and experience to a cutting edge, data-driven approach to operations. We are disrupting the small business insurance market, one customer at a time and expect this role to grow and evolve as Pie does. We will be looking to this role to assist us with finding and achieving efficiencies in testing and reporting every day. There’s a good bit of firefighting in a highly dynamic startup environment, so you should enjoy rapid problem-solving and root cause analysis. Expect challenges while helping us build something awe-inspiring.
Whether It’s Right For You
You will be joining our team in our Denver office. Everything we do is connected, but we each have different roles. That means we need you to be an executor. We are a start-up. All hands and minds are needed. This is an experienced hire role, and you’ll need to have a minimum of two years of prior testing experience. Someone with experience with workers compensation bureaus OR another startup or early stage venture state expansion in a regulated environment is preferred. Of course, you’ll also need certain skills and abilities to do the work.

- Gather, consolidate, and track state rating errors in our Project Management systems and collaborate with various stakeholders to test and report on error corrections.
- Your role is mission critical and allows the team to move forward with speed and precision as we expand and refine our offerings.
- Systems and tools you will use include but are not limited to: HubSpot, Salesforce, Insurity, our native platform, and Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain strong industry knowledge on WC.
- Develop and maintain full knowledge of all forms, coverages, ratings, and manuals for workers compensation.
