Together, we will re-imagine Human Resources as the People and Culture Team, and we will accomplish this through analyzing people data within the employee lifecycle. Our stakeholder groups go fast and need answers; we aim to provide it quickly, accurately, and communicate it to them at their level of technical expertise. Our data sources are wide, varied, and ever-changing, including headcount, attrition, recruiting, benefits, compensation, time off, diversity, equity and inclusion, internal movement and oh so much more.

The ideal candidate for this role understands human resources as a transactional, operational and strategic function. You have a zeal for combining your business acumen with your analytical mind to understand and improve the lives of one of the most complex and fascinating assets in an organization: its people.

Curious? Awesome. Here’s your day-to-day:

  • Work with different groups within the People and Culture Team to understand their business challenges, develop data requirements, conduct in-depth analysis, and build a solid foundation of reporting. 

  • Become a go-to-person for your groups to understand their quantitative and qualitative data and to procure the most relevant insights. 

  • Extract data from various systems related to Human Resources, but primarily using Workday.

  • Use Alteryx and Excel to identify, combine, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in often messy and noisy data sets. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven solutions, including best practices in data collection.

  • Identify data integrity issues and implement improvements to ensure accuracy of findings.

  • Create custom reports and interactive dashboards using data visualization tools to demonstrate findings and results.

  • Continuously assess reporting efficiency and effectiveness and areas of improvement.

  • Be curious and independently explore data for new ways to solve problems.

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

And some stretch goals:

  • Increase the technical knowledge of our People and Culture Team through videos, trainings, and written guides.

  • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

  • Regularly present results of analysis to senior management across a wide range of functions. 

  • Get Alteryx Core Certified.

  • What you need to thrive in this role:

  • A four year college degree (or additional experience in a related field) and 3 years functional experience including a minimum 1 year position specific experience.

  • 1+ years of experience extracting and synthesizing data from diverse sources, developing reports and visualizations for presentations.

  • Ability to deliver high quality analyses and products within demanding timelines.

  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and experience analyzing large, complex datasets forming meaningful insights.

  • A passion for People Analytics: a data enthusiast, who will help the People and Culture team try to answer larger workforce questions.

  • A strong work ethic and the desire to optimize processes and systems to drive Known as a pro-active, resourceful individual who takes initiative with little direction and successfully contributes to a team environment. 

  • Clear, concise and audience focused communication skills both written and verbal.

What will make you a superstar in this role:

  • Has a broad foundation in advanced HR/People and Culture disciplines and in-depth knowledge of HR/People and Culture programs. Functions at the center of all HR/people data activities involving Talent, Benefits, and Compensation. Knowledge, understanding, and application of forecasting techniques or statistical analysis or data modeling or data mining.

  • Demonstrated experience communicating/presenting complex and independent concepts and unbiased fact-based decision-making, business performance and statistical model results.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $68,200 to $112,500.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

  • This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
