As a core member of our team, the Principal Data Analyst will support clients on Mercury Healthcare’s enterprise data platforms that enable health systems to create a holistic patient view, eliminate data silos, and improve patient experience.

In this role, you will drive in-depth data analysis in support of approving/maintaining data sources, on-going quality initiatives, and ad-hoc requests within and across teams. You will also be responsible for understanding, and providing guidance on, the end to end data flows of each Mercury Healthcare product. This is a collaborative role that works with both internal and external partners. What you will do:

  • Identify data needs of customers and determine appropriate methods for researching and collecting data
  • Conduct research and analysis in support of customers’ needs, and confirm results
  • Validate quality and integrity of new and existing data sources
  • Review and document data analysis methodology
  • Lead data analysis troubleshooting for customer requests
  • Document and communicate findings and insights to internal partners and/or clients
  • Assist in the development of recommendations, communications, and process improvements based on findings and insights
  • Serve as an expert resource on data and help coordinate analysis across the business unit
  • Conduct effective data analysis and troubleshoot issues 
  • Assist in defining/driving overall data quality standards with engineering and business stakeholders
  • Create and maintain documentation to support developed processes and applications

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics
  • Experience and expertise with Snowflake, Netezza, Salesforce, and SQL is required
  • Experience with database structures, ETL processes, stored procedures,audit reports, and data extracts
  • Client-facing experience, or the ability to communicate and translate data findings into actionable recommendations and process improvements
  • Ability to coach and advise team members on analytics best practices
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Willing to travel up to 5%
  • Bonus: Python experience and healthcare industry experience
