POSITION SUMMARY:
The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in helping manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting/Finance department and the Company’s payroll system. These activities include timely preparation and accurate processing of payroll for ArcherDX employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job performance will involve a variety of activities including the following:
- Process payroll for all employees, both hourly and salaried
- Create and keep all payroll, time tracking, and benefits process documentation current
- Data entry related to new hires, bonuses / commissions, payroll calculations, deductions and garnishments, and terms
- Assist with the payroll administration aspects of the company’s 401K as well as reconciliations
- Record payroll and related journal entries and reconcile accounts as part of the month-end close process
- Assist with external audits by providing supporting records
- Research, resolve and respond to payroll inquiries from employees
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years of experience with full payroll responsibility
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
- Have a deep knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll processing
- Ability to maintain confidential nature of the information by protecting the privacy of our employees and their data
- Ability to prioritize workloads
- Ability to work in a team setting and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Fluency in Outlook and Excel
- Experience with Paycom would be useful
- Detail oriented with precise work; implements processes to minimize risk of errors
EDUCATION:
- Associates/ BS/BA preferred
