POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in helping manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting/Finance department and the Company’s payroll system. These activities include timely preparation and accurate processing of payroll for ArcherDX employees.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including the following:

  • Process payroll for all employees, both hourly and salaried
  • Create and keep all payroll, time tracking, and benefits process documentation current
  • Data entry related to new hires, bonuses / commissions, payroll calculations, deductions and garnishments, and terms
  • Assist with the payroll administration aspects of the company’s 401K as well as reconciliations
  • Record payroll and related journal entries and reconcile accounts as part of the month-end close process
  • Assist with external audits by providing supporting records
  • Research, resolve and respond to payroll inquiries from employees

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • At least three years of experience with full payroll responsibility
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
  • Have a deep knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll processing
  • Ability to maintain confidential nature of the information by protecting the privacy of our employees and their data
  • Ability to prioritize workloads
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with Paycom would be useful
  • Detail oriented with precise work; implements processes to minimize risk of errors

EDUCATION: 

  • Associates/ BS/BA preferred
