How You Fit In:

As part of the Financial Crimes Compliance Team of Reserve Trust you will play a critical role in building and operationalizing a best-in-class sanctions and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance program. To be successful in this role, you will be required to think critically, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail, resolve issues, and work independently in a fast-paced and technologically-driven environment.

This role reports to the OFAC Officer and will partner and collaborate with the Payment Operations, Engineering, Product, and Risk and Compliance teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate the sanctions risks of our customers.
  • Screen current and potential customers and their owners, directors, officers, and other relevant personnel for sanctions exposure.
  • Identify and review transactions and accounts for prohibited activity under OFAC and other sanctions programs.
  • Research potential matches and escalate issues that require additional attention and/or action.
  • Track new, amended, or updated sanctions prohibitions targeting foreign individuals, entities, and/or countries.
  • Understand the issuance of OFAC general licenses and the impact on our customers and business.
  • Facilitate audits by independent third parties and examinations by our regulators.
  • Collaborate with other parts of the organization to provide expertise on OFAC and other sanctions laws and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience in OFAC compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of OFAC sanctions programs
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain a high-quality work product
  • Desire to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Comfort with a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively use third-party OFAC compliance technologies

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $75,000 – 95,000. Reserve Trust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
