DAT Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Analyst to join our team as a in Beaverton, Oregon.

Candidate profile

DAT is currently looking for a Network Operations Analyst to join our growing technical team and drive the evolution of our technology infrastructure. Candidates should have a solid background in network fundamentals and server infrastructure in a data center environment. This is an entry technical position with a primary focus on incident and event management. This position will require interfacing with groups both internal and external to Technology on a daily basis. This engineering role is expected to bring a positive attitude, focused on a continual improvement mindset.

What You’ll Do

• Network Operations staff are responsible for:
• Infrastructure health monitoring and event management with a variety of tools, including Zabbix, Grafana, New Relic and CloudWatch
• Monitor event management plat by engaging on-call resources via Xmatters and Slack and providing rapid first response incident management
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for event and incident management
• Implementing new monitoring and alerting where there are gaps
• Drive and document changes on tuning infrastructure monitoring alerts
• Review, evaluate and provide recommendations on policies and procedures

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

Applicants must have reliable transportation to/from work and be available to work a shift in a 24/7 environment.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications
• Strong verbal and text-based communication skills
• 1-2 years of monitoring tools experience (New Relic, Zabbix, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Experience with Windows and Unix based servers
• Able to utilize remote communication tools effectively (Slack, Zoom, Skype)
• Able to write and maintain knowledge base articles

Bonus Skills

• 1-2 years of Enterprise IT Experience
• 1-2 years of incident management experience
• 1-2 years of event management experience
• Familiarity with Atlassian products
• IT Certifications (CCNA, Network+, MCSA, Linux+)
• Exceptional analytical skills and solutions oriented
