About the Job

As the Media Analyst on the Demand team, you will utilize internal and external data to help leaders make informed decisions and identify opportunities to improve business operations. You'll partner with leadership in the Demand organization to help them track and analyze performance, manage pipelines, plan, and forecast spend levels for Advertising Demand and Merchant partners.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Help leadership improve the business - Investigate performance of demand partners to identify growth levers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Sales team with data driven insights -  Understand KPIs for stated goals, identify trends and opportunities, provide data that can inform business leaders on planning for their 
  • Assist in developing optimization strategies that include the full digital product portfolio. Monitor campaign performance and make recommendations to clients that result in effective advertiser performance.
  • Work collaboratively with account and fulfillment teams to recommend overall campaign strategy and ongoing modifications for optimal results. May include (but not limited to) strategy changes and budget recommendations.
  • Interpret and analyze digital marketing efforts during the campaign set-up process. Assist with development of initial campaign strategy.
  • Develop and provide client focused communications on campaign performance including effectiveness, targeting and strategy.

About You

You should be eager to self-start with a drive to understand. You are analytical but creatively curious and understand data, proactively willing to learn what you don’t know and explore to solve problems independently. You can juggle multiple short-term tasks and big picture, long term projects in a complex, fast environment. You are willing to speak your mind in a candid, concise yet respectful fashion with data to support your position and have a high degree of customer empathy to effectively solve customer problems. Finally, you have a scrappy, incremental data-driven “get things done” mentality to drive toward success.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Experience querying and analyzing data using SQL (or equivalent querying language) or strong financially oriented analytical experience with demonstrated aptitude for learning data systems.
  • Experience with paid digital media analysis and presentation of data in an easy-to-interpret format.
  • Strong analytics skills for basic data manipulation and analysis with tools like Excel and MySQL
  • Ability to read, organize, and analyze large data sets in order to identify trends and develop actionable recommendations
  • Ability to independently lead and drive initiatives and be proactive in solving problems
  • Strong will to partner and collaborate within the organization and cross functionally
  • Highly analytical with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to organize, multi­-task, and prioritize effectively in a fast-­paced environment
  • A passion for problem solving and turning challenges into opportunities for business growth
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results 
  • Proactively review current procedures and confidently make recommendations for improvements with consideration to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated accountability for agreed upon deliverables and timetables
  • Must be comfortable with working independently and using available resources to find answers.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Looker as a data visualization tool 
  • Familiarity with current ad tech landscape and Sovrn’s place and value proposition in the market
  • Internet savvy and strong proficiency in office productivity tools (Gmail, Google Apps, Confluence/JIRA, Salesforce CRM, sql)

Compensation and Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role in Boulder, Colorado is $60,000 to $90,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
