Manager, Business Analytics and Intelligence
Opportunity:

This role is to strategically design and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. The Manager Business Analytics and Intelligence
is also responsible for ensuring high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing. This role reports directly to the VP, Global Information Technology of LogRhythm and will be a member of the data steering committee.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Operational Management
- Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of PowerBi and systems.
- Lead the integration efforts for merging PowerBi platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
- Responsible for collaborating with the business analyst to develop business requirements and translating requirements into a technical solution
- Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using PowerBI.
- Responsible for identifying and communicating design and scope issues to the stakeholders
- Conduct design reviews and oversee QA functions for the information delivery applications, including ensuring that system and integration test plans are developed and executed
- Create other technical deliverable artifacts needed for project implementation
- Design, code, test, and document all new or modified PowerBi systems, applications, and programs.
- Develop the semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions.
- Develop graphs and portal interfaces.
- Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with PowerBi solutions.
- Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to the organization’s business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
- Troubleshoot PowerBi tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.
- Act as evangelist for PowerBi benefits across the organization; promote PowerBi usage to relevant departments.
- Mentor and/or provide leadership to junior members of the team.
Skills & Experience
Formal Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
Knowledge & Experience
- 3+ years of background developing Data Visualization solutions using PowerBI
- Experience using PowerBI for the creation of dashboards, standard reports and ad-hoc reports
- Experience working with multiple disparate data sources in Salesforce / NetSuite
- Experience with advanced, PowerBI topics such as complex calculations, table calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, and performance optimization
- Familiar with Data Visualization best practices
- Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
- Experience with tier-one applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as MS SQL Server.
- Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications.
- Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Full project management and development life cycle experience.
- Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
