WHAT WE DO

Earable is a neuroscience company developing wearables that detect real-time neural signals to stimulate the brain to improve sleep, focus, and other cognitive functions. Our smart headband is built around individualized sleep health. By simply wearing our smart headband and using the companion app we are helping people, monitor and detect early warnings of potential health risks; Accurately measure all relevant sleep indicators like sleepiness, sleep depth, awakeness; Non-invasively stimulate your mind with audio and light to optimize sleep to your need; and Determine the exact optimal moment to wake you up in the morning so that you feel the most refreshed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Help develop algorithms for the analysis and enhancement of cognitive processing by implementing and deploying machine learning and data science-based algorithms in the Earable software platform. 
• Turn research ideas into production-ready solutions. 
• Work with data scientists, software engineers and firmware engineers to efficiently deploy machine learning algorithms for Earable’s neuro-wearables.
• Implement methods for processing Earable’s time-series signal data.
• Review state-of-the-art literature to learn clinical and ML-based approaches to solving problems of interest and use these learnings to inspire the development of our own, novel algorithms .
• Work alongside our medical team to create protocols for ML model data collection.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• B.S. or above in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, Math, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and/or C++.
• Foundational understanding of both principles and applications in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
• Demonstrated project experience solving problems with Machine Learning/Data Science-based solutions.
• Proven experience in one of more AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch)
• Practical experience with time-series data and Digital Signal Processing is a plus.
• Highly motivated and driven by solving difficult and meaningful problems.
• Excellent communication skills.

The Machine Learning Engineer role has an annual starting salary of $100,000, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
