Loan Operations Analyst (Temp-to-Perm)

Our Loan Originations team guides and executes on the journey of a Loan Application through the entire pre-origination life cycle. We consist of two divisions: Loan Processing and Quality Control/Policy Exception management. The position starts with learning the Loan Processing function. As potential Small Business customers apply through our website, the team attempts to qualify business owners for short term business loans based on their credit worthiness.
This is an excellent Temp-to-Perm position and great way to get your foot in the door within a FinTech environment at OnDeck! It’s a dynamic and diverse team, consisting of members from the restaurant industry, financial services, sales and customer service backgrounds. You will be part of a newly expanded team where we think big, act boldly and strive for success in all measures.
As a Loan Operations Analyst at OnDeck on the Loan Originations team, you will:
- Work with a queue of incoming small business loan applications to perform validation of small business existence and information through online search engines and other records.
- Assess missing components of the loan application package and prioritize follow up with the sales department.
- Structure Loan Applications in preparation for cash flow analysis and underwriting
- Assure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Necessary qualifications for success:
- 0-2 years of work experience in a fast paced and team based environment
- “Fast paced” or “high pressure” are not scary words for you, but are motivators
- Motivated when working towards KPI’s, quotas or team goals & metrics
- Strong Work Ethic in a high-performance environment
- Consistency in output, results and process, experience working with high volume tasks
- Effective Communication, both written and oral
- Effective Time management and experience balancing quality and efficiency
- Experience following procedures, guidelines and policies
- Ability to work a consistent 8 hour shift, Monday – Friday.
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Financial Acumen a plus
- Experience working with Salesforce, workflow system, tracking system or CRM system
