Role Overview

KORE Software’s Insights & Analytics Team designs, develops and maintains the standard and consultative reporting offerings that go alongside KORE’s applications. Team members then present these reports — and the details of how they were constructed — to both analysts and end-users at client organizations.

This new Insights Analyst will report to the Manager, Data Analytics and be responsible for collaborating with other members of the Insights and Analytics team.

The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, detail-oriented, data-focused, and have a strong ability to work well in a team-based setting. This includes a customer service disposition and the ability to collaborate both with internal and external teams.

This selected candidate will have a demonstrated ability to build data visualizations and the technical aptitude to grow into stronger SQL scripting skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

This position will split their time between KORE’s Pro Sports Standard product line (Microsoft SQL database) and Tableau Server. Although we expect this role to expand as skills and experience grow, the following is an estimated breakdown of where we expect this individual’s time to be allocated in main categories of tasks:

Data Visualization & Business Analytics

  • Help implement the data analytics vision for business decision making through tableau dashboard design
  • Work with the Insights & Analytics group to create optimal ways to plan, measure, and report business performance for clients
  • Ability to engage in business strategy conversations and build appropriate reporting and solutions.
  • Develop databases and additional data sources for the creation of reports and additional business intelligence use cases

Tableau Server Administration

  • Tableau Server administrative duties include the set up and maintenance of Tableau Server Sites, User Groups, User Roles and permission settings
  • Build and maintain reports to monitor business performance and server health for internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Analytics)

Communication & Consultation

  • Communicating via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with customers assisting and guiding them through KORE’s products
  • Analyze and defines tasks, data flows, and dependencies in relation to project deliverables
  • Work cross-departmentally to continue to develop KORE’s reporting products

Skill Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Tableau Desktop experience building workbooks and dashboards
  • Experience with Tableau Server user administrative tasks is a plus
  • Some SQL querying knowledge (Select, From, Joins, Where, and Group By) and the aptitude to grow this skill set
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills
    • Familiarity of sponsorship and the sports industry
