About The Team: 

The FIS NonStop Systems Management team manages over 20 systems around the world providing 24/7 critical processing support for the different lines of business. These systems are all current generation hardware and operating systems. In addition to the HPE system software the team also manages the third-party systems software solutions on those systems, working closely with the applications support staff.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

We seek staff for the support of our US based systems. The Us operations are currently transitioning to NSX systems.

The US staff will provide the frontline 24/7 support of the US systems, consisting of a production pair in an active/active processing topology, and a separate pair for development and testing activity.  Responsibilities will cover:

  • Systems health monitoring and liaison with HPE support
  • Systems support for the US based applications support team
  • Attend planning and support meetings with local stakeholders
  • Undertake capacity planning and systems tuning
  • Undertake system OS upgrades and third-party systems software upgrades
  • Call on and liaise with FIS team subject matter experts where appropriate
  • Provide management reporting of activities.
  • Undertake systems management work on other FIS systems outside the US

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.                                                                                                                                          

What you bring:

• Experience with working on NonStop systems for similar 24/7 mission critical delivery.

• Initiative to find and identify systems issues before they have impact.

•  Ability to work with a team that is dispersed geographically remote.

•  Experience working with applications support teams for project planning and resolving arising issues.

Added bonus if you have:

• NonStop SQL DBA experience

• NonStop Data Replication experience
