Group Leader, Workforce Strategy Analytics and Planning - Denver, CO

You will support overseeing processes and labor analytics/metrics to optimize total labor at Western Union. Your responsibilities include the placement of roles and labor in the correct geographies & oversight related to cost controls of the entire labor (salary, benefits, contracts, etc.). Additionally, this role will partner with finance and each business unit to build accurate and detailed workforce plans utilizing Workday & Adaptive Insights. In this role, you will ensure the workforce plan is updated and accurate throughout the year as the business re-forecasts and aligns resources throughout each cycle. The Group Leader of Workforce Strategy will serve as an internal consultant to Western Union stakeholders. This position includes consulting within the People Organization and Business Leaders in many areas.

  • Provide expert advice to the business as they proactively address their resourcing requirements and budget during business planning cycles
  • Develop and maintain workforce planning tools, templates and techniques that support the process (or implement standard HR tools as available)
  • Monitor function/business unit workforce actions & costs compared to the submitted plan
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to monitor Function/BU-level and WU-wide adherence to stated Workforce Strategy Guiding Principles
  • Delivering planning services (workforce research, data, analysis, reporting, process, and capacity management)
  • Partner with HR Information Systems, Finance & others to ensure data/system integration and the integrity of labor data throughout Workday/Adaptive Insights
  • Provide collective outlook on WU's workforce evolution and needs to all relevant parties (e.g., Central Real Estate group, CHRO, etc.)
  • Collaborate with external teams/contractors to create new workforce tools & applications and manage organizational design
  • Potentially lead and manage a small internal team as function expands

For such a critical role, Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related fields, including Operations or Finance. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with broad experience in workforce strategy globally across a diverse range of countries, languages, and cultures. 8+ years of progressive experience and cross-functional knowledge of Human Resources, Labor Management and Sourcing, or related fields, including Operations or Finance. Proven ability to collaborate across Business Units ensures that the company's long-term strategy is being met through our use of talent, facilities, and resources. History of experience designing and implementing effective processes to drive results (can simplify complex processes; knows what to measure and how to measure it). Solid project management skills with experience in organizing, planning, and executing medium‐scale projects from design to implementation. Practical coaching skills and the ability to lead through influence, not position power. Proven track record of successfully leading and executing organization-wide interventions

The on-target earnings range is $169,101. - $ 225,467. which includes a base salary of $120,787 - $161,049 short-term (20% of base) and long-term (20% of base) incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, flexible time off, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
