Global Compensation Analyst

Global Compensation Analyst plays an important role in ensuring that our People Experience (PX) team, Talent Experience (TX) team and People Leaders are supported to make robust, data led remuneration decisions.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the Global Remuneration and Rewards Manager (GR&R Manager) with establishing the remuneration and reward strategy
- Support the GR&R Manager in the design of remuneration policies that support the attraction, retention and motivation of key talent, including incentive plans and rewards programmes
- Gather market data to inform salary review budget recommendations and take an active role in managing the annual salary review process (Merit)
- Support the GR&R Manager in managing the annual Short Term Incentive (STI) plans and prepare relevant communications
- Support PX and TX teams in day to day remuneration related issues
- Advise People Leaders on interpretation and application of compensation structures and individual remuneration treatment
- Benchmark roles against organizations of a similar size, industry and recruitment environment, ensuring a consistent and systematic approach
- Keep the compensation structure up to date, including the Compensation Library and Workday
- Partner with PX, TX and People Leaders to continually improve and refine our compensation structure
- Manage the day to day aspects of rewards programs, ensuring Help Centre and Xero Crew are kept up to date
- Supports the business to meet its legislative requirements for gender pay
- Contributes to the progression of our pay transparency journey though gender pay equity analysis and recommending improvements to our existing approach
- Be the first point of contact for remuneration approvals within Lever and Workday
- Ensure records and remuneration related reports are maintained in Workday and the benefits of Workday are fully realized
- Work with the People Analytics and Reporting Consultant and PXIS
- Complete data submissions to ensure we meet our data-in requirements
- Complete ad hoc surveys where there is sufficient value in us participating
- Gather and utilize survey data, monitor market trends and developments, recommend improvements to existing programs
- Manage relationships with consultancies/vendors on a day to day basis
- Be a point of contact for estimates, forecasts and calculations for remuneration and benefit expenses to make sure we’re aligned with Finance

- Success in geographically and culturally diverse environments
- Strong knowledge of worldwide remuneration and benefits regulations and market trends
- Mathematical aptitude and exceptional analytical skills - this person needs to be a spreadsheet genius
- The humility to be the person doing the work at-hand, the confidence to represent your work to executives and the intestinal fortitude to stand your ground if you know you are right
- Enjoyment of a dynamic, frequently changing environment
What you’ll bring with you (Experience)
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Human Resources, Management or similar
- Significant compensation experience, ideally in a global environment (at least 3+ years’ remuneration and 5+ years’ human resources)
- Experience managing multiple global stakeholders at senior levels
- Project management and excellent communication skills
- Strong background in HCM systems (Workday an advantage)

Total compensation for this role includes a base salary of $94.5k - $127.8k, commensurate with experience, plus an annual grant of Xero shares, calculated as a percentage of base salary.
