This makes the Reporting Analyst role critical to the continued success of HomeAdvisor by providing the information necessary to make great decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

We work daily with the Accounting, Finance, Product, Sales and Operations leadership teams to develop, execute, monitor, and refine initiatives that drive value and quantify that value as it pertains to financial performance. The role covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from reporting to strategic analysis.

You’ll need to know your way around Excel, have an aptitude for relational databases, and a solid helping of common/business sense. As important as your analytical skills, your ability to synthesize large data sets into digestible information will be key. In your first year our goal is to have you capable of querying our database for insights, communicate opportunities to leadership, then establish reporting and ongoing monitoring to ensure proper execution of the strategy. What You Will Be Doing:

• Work closely with the Accounting, Product, BI and Finance teams to understand reporting needs for new products, revenue streams and expenses
• Automate and optimize existing journal entries, where data is obtained from multiple database reports then manually manipulated
• Build new financial reports for company’s future use
• Analyze, update, and restore existing data and reports
• Build complex reports to assist in analyzing financial trends and predicting future results
• Troubleshoot existing reports when problems arise
• Ad-hoc analysis to support the Finance and Strategy teams
• Be the subject matter expert on all things related to the financial tables in the database

Required Experience:

• 2-3 years of professional experience in a financial/business analyst role
• Advanced Excel and SQL
• Experience with financial report generation and modification
• Knowledge of accounting a plus
