Position Overview:

 

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for an experienced Enterprise Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) in Irvine, CA or Broomfield, CO.  The purpose of this role is to analyze requirements for multidisciplinary cross-functional projects, both people and process across the EPMO portfolio.  This individual will be required to outline any dependencies, document and outline requirements at a project/program level as well as ensure that enterprise solutions are strategically implemented. This role reports to the Senior Manager, EPMO and will work with many teams across the organization.  Our ideal candidate is someone who has successfully facilitate requirements gathering and process optimization initiatives, is able to lead project teams to gather requirements and provides ongoing process improvement, strategic system directions and implementation of new functionality while partnering with Project/ Program Managers of the EPMO.

 

Required Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Manages internal cross functional relationships as well as external third-party vendors
  • Process Improvement process mapping for both EPMO projects as well as internal customers (cross-functional teams implementing new systems)
  • Ownership and further automation of Project request/intake process
  • Owns, coordinates and leads both process improvement sessions and improves the automation of the Project request/intake processes
  • Mentors Alteryx associates in BA methodologies and practices
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across the organization to gather and map requirements
  • Identifies gaps between existing (current state) and desired (future states) and designs solutions to mitigate the gaps
  • Gathers and distills requirements from multiple areas of the business

 

Valued Skills:

  • Minimum five (5) years business analysis experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
  • Expertise across multiple enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with process improvement and project management practices
  • Able to work with end users to understand needs and translate those to business processes and/or interdependencies
  • Able to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet a plus
  • Experience/ expertise in mapping business process; use of MS Visio or similar product
  • Demonstrate ability to lead cross‑functional teams and work effectively in dynamic and fluid situations
  • Results-oriented expert for vendor selection and vendor management
  • Build successful partnerships with Subject Matter Experts as well as Business Owners to define the problem and best solution
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
