POSITION SUMMARY

The electronic data interchange (EDI) specialist's main objective is to develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all EDI-related developments for Balanced Health Botanicals. They are responsible for analyzing and designing specifications used for enhancements and extensions in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings. They coordinate all EDI testing, implementations, and upgrades.

CORE JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Design, develop, document, modify, and maintain integrations.
  2. Model, analyze, and maintain various data exchanges.
  3. Work alongside various departments to develop solutions to improve workflow.
  4. Research and understand technical documentation.
  5. Identify problems and develop solutions to improve efficiencies and performance in the business flow.
  6. Develop ad-hoc reports as requested.
  7. Help departments translate raw data into a readable format.
  8. Work with employees at all levels of their organization to support accurate, proper data exchanges within the organization.
  9. Coordinate Electronic Data Interchange.
  10. Assist with any testing to observe and interpret messages received and offer updates to their supervisor, typically a departmental lead or supervisor.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of informatics or computer science
  • 2 years related experience
  • Experience EDI versions and terminologies
  • Strong understanding of relational databases
  • Understanding of different file types and mapping technologies
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, should possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to determine appropriate priority level for tasks and responsibilities based on instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and business procedures.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking skills
  • Outstanding communicator, both orally and written
  • Works well with a diverse range of people
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
