Fivetran is in a hyper-growth stage and we are looking for a Director, Global Compensation and Benefits to join our growing People team. As a Director, Global Compensation and Benefits at Fivetran, you will:
- Act as a key member of the total rewards team to drive thoughtful analysis around short-term and long-term incentives in addition to other reward programs
- Get excited about building models and tools to enable easy analysis and understanding of data
- Partner and consult with Business Partners, Recruiters and Leadership in all things compensation by making recommendations by using data
- Review and analysis of market data to evaluate our compensation (cash, incentive and equity) program competitiveness relative to our compensation philosophy and principles
- Partner on global compensation and total rewards projects from design to execution including, but not limited to, modeling, project planning, communications and training
- Lead on equity strategy including burn rate, overhang analyses and other dilution analyses
- Lead on executive compensation
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Heavy compensation and/or analytical background that shows proven success as a thoughtful compensation partner and thorough attention to detail
- Tenacity to learn new things and think outside of the box and have a sense of humor
- You enjoy solving problems and have immense attention to detail
- Ability to deal with quick change and to drive change management
- Competency in understanding, interpreting, and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions though strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with private company stock compensation programs, and familiarity with various high level structures and considerations
- Ability to use data to support and make decisions, articulate the business reasons and program ideas to the management team
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs and Sheets
- A minimum of 6+ years of experience in a professional, fast-paced environment
- A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources and compensation experience with increasing levels of responsibility in identifying, consulting, crafting, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' challenges
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):
- A strong background in Compensation, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Economics
- Previous experience working with both broad based compensation and sales compensation plans
- Strong analytical capabilities, familiarity with broader underlying concepts, and ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to resolve highly sophisticated problems and recommend or produce the best solutions for their client
- Demonstrated experience working with high-level individual contributors and managers across multiple functions
- Strong planning, project management, organizational and communication skills
- Proven track record to adapt and work effectively in a matrix organization
- Consulting experience
- Advanced modeling skills
