As a Data Science Director you will have an impact on the home services industry through automated insights, smarter decisions & recommendations. Data Science applications are endless along the customer journey in Operations, Product, & Fintech. Think of LTV, Churn, Personalized Onboarding & Communications, Sales Process Optimization, Marketing Attribution, Optimized Scheduling, Price Recommendation, Fintech Risk Scoring, etc … and that is just the beginning. What You’ll Do:

• Build out Data Science best practices and processes
• Hire, grow and develop the Data Science team and culture. Inspire and mentor a team of talented data scientists
• Drive the Data Science vision, own the Data Science roadmap and lead Data Science projects, from requirements to delivery
• Collaborate with product managers, business operations, engineers, data scientists, and business partners; Promote effective data solutions for relevant problems that enable scalability and deliver strategic and operational value to Housecall Pro and our customers
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to build critical infrastructure along the Data Science lifecycle 
• The desire to build, be impactful, solve problems, move fast and enjoy the process

What you will bring to this role:

• Experience building and leading a team of outstanding Data Scientists.
• 6+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, data science, or analytical consulting.
• Expertise with SQL, Python and data visualization tools (our stack includes Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Python and Tableau).
• Experience in some of the following areas and excitement to learn the others: fintech risk modelling, scheduling optimization (combinatorial optimization), recommendation engine, lifetime value modelling, churn prediction, marketing attribution modelling.
• Ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of our product ecosystem, business, marketing strategy, metrics, and models.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional projects that depend on the contributions of others in various disciplines.

Bonus points for any of these:

• Fintech experience
• Experience with MLOps
• Experience leading data science infrastructure strategy and implementation and familiarity with data warehouse design, development, and best practices.

Compensation: Minimum $175k;  Annual Bonus Potential + Equity
