Ideas are easy; execution is everything.

Gtmhub’s purpose is to enable organizations to connect the dots between strategy and execution, improve internal alignment, and maintain focus with our platform. We want to guide them along their journey of accelerated growth and transformational change.

We build the software that makes that happen—and we need a world-class team to do that.

The Role

Gtmhub's ARI (Analytics, Research, and Insights) team enables the business to make more informed—and less risky—business decisions. We do this by representing the voice of the customer—both internal and external—and acting as the single source of truth for customer, business, and market data.

At Gtmhub, insights matter. Our team works across the entire business supporting Product, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and the leadership team.

As our first Director of Data Science and Analytics (Head of Data Science and Analytics), you will help establish and shape our Data Science, Data Engineering, Product Analytics, and Quantitative Research practice at Gtmhub. Your work will play a major role in defining and driving who we are and what we do today—and who we are and what we do tomorrow.

The Nitty Gritty

As our Data Science and Analytics Lead, you will:

  • Scale a team—you’ll be building a team from scratch, which means you’ll need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and help get the team off the ground;
  • Define our data science and analytics processes;
  • Build the capability for us to apply new analytical methodologies and techniques to the strategy and execution space, reporting on key product KPIs, drawing correlation (and mapping MECE trees) between input/output metrics and business outcomes, designing experiments (when appropriate), measuring new feature adoption and user behaviors, driving quantitative investigations (key driver analysis, feature modeling), and modeling our impact;
  • Lead the strategy and application of advanced analytics to support Marketing, Product, Sales, business operations, senior leadership, and others;
  • Mesmerize audiences with your data visualization skills;
  • Maintain day-to-day data aggregation responsibilities and the integrity of the data;
  • Lead the development and execution of new and highly complex algorithms, machine learning, and statistical predictive models to evaluate potential future outcomes across multiple business units;
  • Build, develop, and lead a forward-thinking, world-class analytics team consisting of Quantitative Researchers, Product Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers, including managing workload, building personal and professional development plans, and helping the team raise the analytical IQ of the RAI team;
  • Build a data and analytic ecosystem that leverages multiple data sources and manages data access for internal and external users;
  • Continually evaluate, report on, and direct improvement of the data system performance and analyses;
  • Manage data science tools and processes, including vendor management, implementation, monitoring, operations, and maintenance;
  • Collaborate with RAI leadership to determine team composition, placement decisions, and hiring strategy;
  • Independently manage day-to-day activities and complex situations;
  • Become a trusted, strategic partner to stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of data science and analytics, and by delivering insights that lead to demonstrable business value;
  • Resource Allocation—ensure we are always focusing on the highest priority things, focusing both on the short-term needs as well as looking ahead to the next big challenge.

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role at Gtmhub, you’ll have:

  • Tenacity—you proactively seek ways to overcome challenges without giving up;
  • A bias for action with a sense of urgency;
  • A problem first, tool second mindset—you find the right analytical tool to solve the problem;
  • Engaging storytelling chops—a history of telling stories using insights that influence key decisions;
  • A passion for process improvement and a desire to leave things better than you found them;
  • 8+ years related experience with data management and analytics;
  • A background in statistics and experience in explaining models & results to a business and technical audience;
  • Technical expertise with database management, programming, and analytical tools (SQL, Oracle, Denodo, Tableau, Spotfire, ETLs, Java, R, Python, etc.);
  • Ability to clearly communicate with internal teams and data stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both in-person and via remote technology;
  • Proven track record of enabling efficiencies and scaling through data solutions.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • MA/MS or PhD degree in STEM or similar fields;
  • Experience with tools like Amplitude, Woopra, Tableau or similar;
  • Experience managing a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts, and Quantitative Researchers preferred;
  • Demonstrated competency with descriptive statistics and behavioral data analysis.

This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Analytics, Research, and Insights.
