POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics to lead our growing Business Intelligence team. The team that this role is a part of is primarily based out of our Denver, Colorado headquarters. However, we are a remote-first company, and applicants from anywhere in the United States are encouraged to apply. You will be responsible for driving our business intelligence & analytics vision by striving to provide real-time access to information and analytics for decision making.  You will help empower our company to make data-driven decisions by supporting and leading a data culture and providing analytical insights to stakeholders throughout various functions of the organization. This is a fast-paced role, requiring flexibility working with a number of different business units while being exposed to a variety of technologies. This role will require you to have a fine eye for detail, deep technical aptitude, and exceptional leadership capabilities.  You will have an expert understanding of relational databases and cutting-edge analytics tools that enable centralized data and analytics.  This individual will report to our Chief Strategy Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of engineers and analysts to collaborate with all functional areas of the organization to centralize information and analytics and create data-driven recommendations
• Execute innovative and effective data and analytics solutions to unique or complex business challenges and opportunities in support of targeted business priorities and objectives
• Manage the full analytics stack, including pipelines to transform raw data from multiple sources into clean datasets, a cloud data warehouse and analysis/visualization tools
• Collaborate with key partners throughout the organization to understand requirements and improve opportunities to drive knowledge into action
• SQL data modeling in the data warehouse and Looker to provide end users with actionable reports and dashboards
• Ensure data quality and set data integrity standards for the organization by being a key contributor and leader to our Data Governance & Change Management program
• Communicate complex data in comprehensible ways using visualization tools
• Conduct ad-hoc projects, reports and analyses
• Achieve expert status in our business and the industry trends

QUALIFICATIONS     

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

• 8+ years of experience working in business intelligence or data analytics working with various functions across an organization (revenue, operations, etc.)
• Snowflake and Looker experience, required
• Expert data modeling, database management and analytical skills required
• Expert in SQL; Python skills are preferred; experience with other analytical tools are a plus
• Experience with ETL/ELT platforms and strategies (SaaS, Airflow, etc.), required
• Looker LookML Developer and/or Business Analyst Certification a plus
• Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once and work collaboratively across organizational lines

The salary range is $130,000-$150,000 USD with a performance-based discretionary bonus. The final salary will be commensurate with experience.
