What you’ll do:

Lead technical and systems administration duties in database environments, providing a high degree of coordination between business requirements and technical requirements, to ensure effective data management.

What you can expect:

  • Install, build and patch database environments with minimal to no guidance
  • Create and manage multiple database instances on different configurations of servers 
  • Resolve problems and answers questions related to the databases and applications
  • Act as technical lead on business projects as assigned 
  • Perform ad-hoc queries and reports as requested 
  • Assist in defining and implementing data security 
  • Maximize uptime of databases where possible 
  • Aid and coach development staff in performance tuning SQL 
  • Automate database administration processes where possible 
  • Provide proactive support of all user communities 
  • Develop, document and implement disaster recovery strategies
  • Monitor, maintain, and administer standby databases for maximum availability 
  • Migrate database application changes to the production environment as needed
  • Train and mentor other information system employees 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • Experience designing, implementing and supporting mission critical database systems. 
  • Experience beyond the Oracle database management system including but not limited to the configuration and support of the operating system, networking, and backups. 
  • Adaptation: Ability to adapt in order to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations, and with diverse individuals and groups, and lead others through ambiguous or changing situations.
  • Communication: Ability to listen to others and convey ideas effectively and foster open communication.
  • Innovation: Ability to generate novel solutions and creative ideas in order to identify system or program problems, and propose pragmatic solutions
  •  

Work Environment:

  • Participation during core business hours is required. Will provide support service during off hours. Scheduled night/weekend work is required

The compensation amount for this role is targeted at $105,200-$111,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

If you decide to come into the office, we’re just seven miles from downtown Denver, in the heart of the Lowry neighborhood. Our office is minutes away from a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, fitness facilities and lush parks and open spaces.
