Overview:

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a Data Specialist who will be responsible for preparing, building and testing our quarterly releases of spatial, geodemographic, business location and household data on all supported versions of Alteryx. The Data Specialist will collaborate with Data Products, Engineering, Customer Support, OEM Partners and 3rd party data vendor and deliver high-quality releases to our customers. The ideal candidate for the position on this team is motivated to learn, a creative problem solver, and excited to dive deep into the world of data, analytics, and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Process data updates (automated and manual) including regression testing and data quality analysis
  • Construct and maintain manual and automated QA and build processes of data updates
  • Collaborate with Fulfillment, Development Operations, QA Automation, and other internal teams to deliver high-quality releases that meets company release schedule
  • Lead and contribute to ongoing refinement and development of operational requirements and standards, and champion adoption of industry best practices as required
  • Maintain data processing workflows and source data associated with recurring updates, including Macros & Apps
  • Resource for troubleshooting data issues and providing feedback and testing to Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support
  • Contribute to the Alteryx Community with data related posts and content

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with relational databases and data structures
  • Familiarity with data vendors such as Experian, D&B and TomTom or similar is highly desired
  • Good understanding of current software/web technologies, source management techniques, and REST APIs
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly identify and acquire information necessary to solve problems
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direction and guidance
  • Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals, and a desire to grow and learn
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, or advanced Excel functions
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Geography, or related field; 3+ years’ work experience
  • Applicants with previous experience using Alteryx will be highly considered
