As a Data Engineer on our Facility Data team, you will design, develop, test, and maintain ETL systems and database functionality to support company clients, products, and services.

In your role, you will implement database technologies and development processes to support development of an Enterprise Data Platform that is changing the game. On this product, we are currently transitioning our Microsoft technology stacks to other Open Source technologies so experience with Scala, Spark, SQL, Python, StreamSets, Reltio, AWS S3, Kafka and Redis is preferred. What You Will Do:

Data Workflow Management & Development

  • Develops framework for data pipelines that are effective, scalable, and reliable
  • Builds and maintains database structures, ETL processes, stored procedures, and data extracts
  • Participates on the Enterprise Architecture team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as necessary
  • Oversees data transformation, normalization, cleansing, aggregation, workflow management, and business rule application
  • Performs quality assurance checks
  • Loads, processes, and migrates incoming data feeds
  • Parse/Prep data for consumption from various sources

Software Development & Modeling

  • Creates relational database models
  • Builds messaging queues
  • Provides decision support and fulfills ad hoc requests
  • Implements and maintains database training and assessment programs
  • Creates and maintains documentation to support developed processes and applications
  • Researches and prototypes new technologies


What You Will Bring:

  • 1 - 5 years data engineering experience
  • Experience with complex workflow systems and database objects preferred
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, ETL, and JSON parsing
  • General understanding of relational database systems
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies
  • Solid understanding of object oriented programming techniques
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to translate ideas into concepts and designs
  • Proficiency in workflow technologies such as (but not limited to) Argo/Airflow/Streamsets
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

It's Nice If You Bring This Too:

  • Experience with NoSQL database JSON Parsing, such as Snowflake
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Kafka
  • Experience with AWS technologies, such as SQS/S3 pipeline automation, terraform
  • Experience with ORM Modeling tools, such as Pandas or SQL Alchemy

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 annually*
