The Connekt Data Team is growing! We're looking to add an experienced Data Engineer to our team in LoHi. Do you have a passion for creating data pipelines and designing database architecture? Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate with our business stakeholders to understand Connekt’s operational reporting needs including our identification of business problems, service levels, and KPIs
Design and develop complex automated data pipelines and data decisioning applications at scale in Kubernetes
Design and develop internal API’s to server other application teams with insights
Architect data structures in the DWH and across applications
Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to mine critical data from our source systems
Creating foundational business metrics that we can expand, use as inputs, and forecast on later
Ability to tease out insights and action items through data
Desired Skills and Experience:
Python is your friend
Expert level SQL skills
Data architecture and data storage experience (data lakes, DWH, column-store vs row-store, relational(sql) vs non-relational(nosql), grain of table)
Working knowledge of cloud technologies (Google Cloud specific technologies a plus)
Experience working in containers (docker,Kubernetes)
Experience with big data technologies (Spark,Hadoop,etc)
Strong human skills allowing you to gather and synthesize requirements, recommend solutions and build relationships with team-members,
Experience performing data validation and quality assurance of dashboards, reports and metrics,
Strong ability to communicate complex technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences,
Experience with source control platforms (Git preferred)
Digital/TV advertising experience a plus
Interest in TensorFlow and Machine Learning at scale
