Position Title

Data Conversion Consultant/Analyst

Position Summary

KG Lewis is seeking an experienced Data Conversion Analyst to join a team to develop and execute a data conversion strategy for a multiple system migration project. This individual will analyze existing and new applications to determine data migration needs. The analyst will help ensure successful integration of multiple systems. They will help streamline data transfer processes. The Data Conversion Analyst will partner with team members to ensure a successful system migration. This is a project-based, short-term engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop migration approach
  • Manage the deployment of data migration tools, develop scripts etc.
  • Manage the data migration project
  • Document processes and look for opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement compliance activities associated with data conversions including SOX control testing, HIPPA and others
  • Manage user security assignment across multiple testing cycles
  • Review testing activities associated with data load activities, assist with the execution and documentation of testing activities
  • Record data testing exceptions and identify mitigating processes to address data testing exceptions
  • Document and execute control testing scripts
  • Document user access matrices for go live production environment
  • Provide go-live support, monitoring and closing of any compliance issues
  • Build relationships with project teams
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Experience:

  • Experience with auditing
  • Ability to build out risk and control matrices
  • Understanding of control gaps, failures and exceptions
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable with presenting and speaking with high level leadership
  • Experience with and comprehension of data conversion object Extraction, Transform, and Load (ETL) process
  • Ability to review supporting ETL documentation to confirm adequate evidence exists to validate completeness and accuracy of data
  • Ability to analyze and identify exceptions and differences throughout the ETL process
  • Solid understanding of business process areas (Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Financial Statement Close, Fixed Assets, Inventory)
  • Experience with testing and documentation of application and IT dependent manual controls to meet SOX testing requirements.
  • Experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities and processes
  • Experience with application security and segregation of duties (SOD) assessment
  • Experience in health care environment preferred
  • Experience with Cloud migrations and implementation of COTS tools
  • Strong consultative skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
