The Data Architect must have the ability to conceive and portray the big data picture. In this role, you will initiate, evaluate, and influence projects from the perspective of the entire company. The Data Architect sets standards for data management, analyzes current issues and conceives desired future solutions. They will also initiate projects needed to close the gap between the current situation and future goals.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Data Team to establish and maintain coding standards
- Takes lead on developing new workflows, automation, and scripts for new and existing Data Services projects
- Aids process improvement discussions for the technical workstreams
- Coordinates plans/proposals to iterate on script and code improvements and communicates with Directors on improvements
- Works with Directors on planning, scoping, and capacity for technical workstream improvements
- Become Data Subject Matter Expert
- Mentor and lead other developers/data engineers
- Understands upcoming product development and how that intersects with Data Services Team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or related certification and experience required
- 5+ years of experience of modern information technology practices with ETL processes and strong SQL skills
- Strong team player; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to act as a technical leader promoting consensus and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Must possess the flexibility necessary to effectively perform in a dynamic, constantly changing and priority shifting professional environment.
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism, ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, commitment to service and excellence.
- Self-direction with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
