Where you fit in:

Data is at the core of everything we do at Parsyl. As such, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission. As Parsyl’s first full-time data analyst, you will bring our data to life for our customers and internal stakeholders. You will sit with the Data & Insights team, which consists of data engineering, data analysis, and machine learning, and exists to extract actionable data insights that ultimately improve the quality of essential goods throughout the global supply chain. 

You are a good fit for this position if you would be happy getting lost in the details of the data if it were not for your drive to answer the business's meaningful questions. You are a self-starter, have a growth mindset, and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. 

What you’ll get to work on:

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business - including insurance, sales, global health, and internal teams - and support them by:
  • creating reports and dashboards containing rich data visualizations
  • identifying trends and patterns
  • performing statistical analysis
  • crafting and presenting compelling narratives 
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards
  • Work with the data engineering team to identify and revise reporting requirements
  • Assess and track data quality and work with the team to solve issues
  • Proactively work to understand our business, our data, and to anticipate what data analysis would benefit our customers and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience accessing, transforming, analyzing, visualizing and reporting on data
  • 1+ year of professional experience with BI reporting tools, such as Looker or Tableau
  • SQL proficiency
  • Working knowledge of basic statistics, including hypothesis testing 
  • Proficiency in a statistical scripting language, preferably python 
  • Capable of effectively communicating complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Patient and communicative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized; capable of managing multiple projects of varying lengths and scopes simultaneously 
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication skills 

It’s a plus if you also have experience with:

  • Cloud service providers, preferably AWS 
  • IoT and time-series data
  • Working at ap 
  • Global health, supply chain, or financial industries

  • Market competitive salary with a base compensation range of $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and location
