Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Tortuga, you’ll be the link between revolutionary farm robots, the data they collect, and the farmers they’re helping. You’ll use your passion for descriptive statistical analysis, communicating meaningful data-driven insights, and finding signal in noise to provide groundbreaking, decision-changing information to our operations team and farmer customers. You’ll help make sense of what we’re learning, and help us drive from prototype to product in the world of actionable agricultural information.

What you’ll do
Work with our existing data systems to extract useful performance data and metrics for Tortuga and for our grower customers
Help to design statistical or ML models to work with and predict grower yields, pest problems, and other revolutionary metrics
Shape the future of our data logging systems to facilitate the success of above objectives
Automate reports and present data in an effective, pleasing, and informative way
Dig deep into data to extract less obvious correlations and metrics
Help maintain the existing AWS infrastructure and contribute to its continued development.
What we’re looking for
Required: 2-4 years experience in a similar data analytics role
Required: B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytical Sciences (biology, ecology, etc.), Statistics, or related field
Required: Programming experience in Python and/or R
Familiarity with analysis tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
Experience with AWS preferred
Front end web knowledge a plus
Startup experience a major plus
Good communication skills
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. Denver area base salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
