POSITION PURPOSE:

The Data Analyst is accountable for data quality and the accuracy of data processes. This role monitors and measures the way data comes into the company, how it is processed and applied to the master database and client accounts, and the data deliveries back to customers. This role maintains and applies company taxonomies and segmentations.

ROLES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Processes and Schedules – Maintain and monitor workflows, scheduled jobs and automations, and respond to alerts and job failures
  • Tracking – Define tracking reports, KPIs, and measures for process accuracy and data quality
  • Issue Resolution – Troubleshoot, analyze jobs conducting root cause analysis to identify issues and possible resolutions
  • Data Intake – Responsible for data intake process, data quality, and the running / management of profile reports and measures to ensure data is coming into the database correctly
  • Derivative Data Processes – Manage the application of secondary processing scripts and applications including managing Registria metadata and measures
  • Product Graph – Manage company’s “Product Graph” ensuring consistent categorization of data
  • Data Quality Processes – Manage and run company’s data profiling reports and tools coordinating with Engineering on changes and requirements; track KPIs for data accuracy and quality
  • Management Reporting – Produce the company’s monthly metrics and KPIs to support monthly reporting and management meetings
  • Documentation – Document processes and procedures keeping them accurate and up to date

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and processes
  • Logical and highly organized; very process oriented
  • Ability to create repeatable and scalable processes
  • Ability to read and review scripts and data structures
  • At least 4 years of experience working in data intensive environments, working in production and collaborating with engineers
  • Working experience with Alteryx

 

Preferred Skills and experience:

  • Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA (Atlassian platform)
  • Working knowledge of My SQL Database and SQL
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Reporting DataMart experience

 

Education:

  • Degree in engineering and computer science or equivalent professional training and work experience
