Since 1998, SambaSafety® has been the pioneer and leading provider of driver risk management software in North America. Our mission is to guie our customers including employers, fleet managers and insurance providers to make the right decision at the right time. By collecting, correlating and analyzing motor vehicle records (MVRs) and other data sources, we identify driver risk and enable our customers to modify their drivers’ behavior, reduce accidents, ensure compliance, and lower costs — ultimately improving driver and community safety.
The Project Manager is an experienced position within the Enterprise Project Management Team responsible for the successful execution of a wide range of moderately complex risk management software engagements/projects and associated work efforts with timelines of any duration. The Project Manager performs this role with reasonable direction and supervision from the leadership team.
What we’re Looking for:
Our growing technology firm is seeking an experienced Data Analyst who will be integral in advancing our efforts to leverage data for the future growth of SambaSafety. You will draw upon on our data to offer go-to-market recommendations that support SambaSafety’s product, sales and go-to-market strategy. The Data Analyst will collaborate with multiple teams across the organization to transform data into critical information that can be used to guide business decisions.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious and is inherently passionate about solving problems with data. The Data Analyst needs to be a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, employing their talents to uncover actionable insights that have driven the business forward, and solved problems with limited oversight. The candidate is comfortable leveraging multiple analytical methods and recognizing opportunities from limited information.
What You’ll Do:
- Create models depicting trends, identify patterns, key business levers, establish cause & effect, and communicate findings to various stakeholders to empower data driven decision-making.
- Manage the reporting environment.
- Provide actionable reporting, perform ad-hoc analysis, and develop core metric dashboarding to help teams improve performance and locate new product opportunities.
- Creatively explore new analytical solutions to make a positive impact.
- Be a data steward and support efforts to establish data definitions across the organization, including data integrity and normalization.
- Visually present findings and communicate insights to teams across the organization with varying degrees of analytics experience.
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years of experience in an analyst role using large and complex data sets from various sources.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or business-related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- A strong data driven mindset, an inclination for problem-solving, and an intuition for insights, numbers, and data.
- Adept at analyzing large data sets using SQL, R, Python or other programming language.
- Experience with various data models and reporting packages.
- Efficient and effective multi-tasker, able to handle multiple projects without missing deadlines.
- Scrappy - able to build solid insights with little information or via triangulation.
